Finalizations, Expectations, and Results
This will likely be the final devlog of this game, and it was fun while it lasted!
For this postmortem, this will include what I expected the game to feel like, as small as it was, and how a playtester interpreted it.
I did not make many changes after the fact, however I did remove a good portion of bloat attatched to the game that I was not using. Outside of that, I was hoping the game to feel more dreadful and spooky, though I know that my aesthetics were off from the start.
Here's my analysis after some playtesters actually played it.
There is much for me to do and to expand upon my game, what is here my playtesters were able to easily navigate through the locations that do exist, and they encouraged me to expand upon what I already have, and to tweak my aesthetics to go for a more horror vibe, since my playtesters remarked it felt more dreamlike than horror.
Regardless, I had a fun time with this and hope my next project will be even more successful now that I have a better understanding of UE5. Thank you.
